The Emperor's Market
After the Emperor put the final brick in the Wall, he gathered his advisors and heirs. He gave each of them an impossible task, and exiled them until they accomplished their quest. The strong rebelled and were defeated. The brave set out alone, and none ever returned. But the clever gathered together, and the Emperor’s Market was born.
Alliance: The Emperor’s Market will gladly trade for information and relics.
Grudge: Those who scorn the Emperor's Market will find wandering merchants unwilling to trade.
Quest: Return to the City having accomplished their impossible tasks.
Saeis the Honest (Herald of the First City): The Emperor’s youngest son, Saeis was an infant during the Exile. He has grown into a noble and just leader, beloved by the Market. His task was merely to survive for a century, leading some to believe that the Emperor chose him as his heir.
Ibrim the Peacemaker (Lawspeaker): Now an elderly man, Ibrim was tasked with bringing a Sword to the Emperor. A devout pacifist, Ibrim fears what the Emperor will do with the greatest weapon ever forged. He remembers much lore from his days in the Emperor’s service, and will share it in exchange for rumors and new discoveries.
Lianna (Brewer): Ibrim’s daughter, Lianna was the Emperor’s gardener before the Exile. She was tasked with bringing the Unicorn’s Horn to the Emperor. She desires to return to the City in spite of her father’s doubts. She is a master herbalist, and will offer Brews in exchange for rumors of the Unicorn’s location.
Li Archetes (King of Thieves): A mercenary captain who pledged himself to Saeis’ cause, Li Archetes and his followers make up the majority of the Emperor’s Market. He and his warriors will accompany heroes on their adventures in exchange for a portion of their treasures and glory.
